Peab works locally where our customers are and where people live their lives. Every day our 14,000 employees contribute through four collaborating business areas to community building in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark. Together we build homes, schools, retirement homes, hospitals, swimming pool facilities, museums, offices, airports and ports. We build and maintain roads, railroads, bridges, parks and much, much more.

Peab has contributed to locally produced community building for more than 60 years. Now the journey continues. Long-​lastingly and responsibly we are forging ahead, and improving everyday life where it’s lived.

Value through collaborating business areas

Our busi­ness is found­ed on four busi­ness areas Con­struc­tion, Civil En­gi­neer­ing, In­dus­try and Project De­vel­op­ment. Each of them is in­de­pen­dent with its own cus­tomer base. But the strength in our busi­ness model – and there­by our abil­i­ty to achieve our tar­gets – is mul­ti­plied when they work to­geth­er in the pro­cess­ing chain. This is what makes us unique. This is lo­cal­ly pro­duced com­mu­ni­ty build­ing through­out the en­tire Nordic re­gion.

Targets for a sustainable business

We mon­i­tor our busi­ness through the frame­work of our four strate­gic tar­gets: most sat­is­fied cus­tomers, best work­place, most prof­itable com­pa­ny and leader in so­cial re­spon­si­bil­i­ty. Each of these strate­gic four tar­gets are im­por­tant on their own but link to­geth­er to form a unit. There are external and internal targets that we regularly measure in each strategic target. There are nine external targets in all and they are mea­sured in com­par­i­son to the con­struc­tion and civil en­gi­neer­ing in­dustry.

Local and close to our customers

Our 14,000 em­ploy­ees work close to our cus­tomers in the local com­mu­ni­ty and use wher­ev­er pos­si­ble local re­sources in the form of our own per­son­nel, input goods and local sub­con­trac­tors. To­geth­er with our so­cial en­gage­ment in the com­mu­ni­ty and in­te­grat­ed cli­mate and en­vi­ron­men­tal work this forms the foun­da­tion of what we call lo­cal­ly pro­duced com­mu­ni­ty build­ing.
