About the Sustainability Report
This appendix complements Peab’s Sustainability Report 2019, which comprises the period 1 January to 31 December 2019, with sustainability data and GRI Index. This is Peab’s ninth Sustainability Report prepared according to GRI Standards: level Core. The Sustainability Report has not been reviewed by a third party. Peab’s Sustainability Report is published once a year and the last one was published on April 9, 2019.
The Sustainability Report includes the statutory sustainability report according to the Annual Report Act chapter 6 paragraph 11.
The scope of the Sustainability Report
The report comprises the Group’s business in Sweden, Norway and Finland, and all the companies over which Peab has operational control. Based on the materiality analysis the report focuses on the issues that reflect the areas where the business has the most crucial and direct impact from a sustainable perspective.
Changes in the report
In 2019 the general scope of the report was expanded in regards to available data, for example Norwegian and Finnish operations were able to contribute data to a higher degree than previously and more suppliers were included. This has a certain effect on comparability regarding a number of indicators – where we in previous years only reported data for Sweden we are now reporting figures from all three operational countries. The extended scope is the result of an ongoing quality assurance process which will continue in 2020.
During the year it was decided to delete the indicators New suppliers that have been screened through environmental criteria (308-1) and New suppliers that have been screened through social criteria (414-1). The reason for this is that the development work to reach quality assured data for them is premature.
Our own indicator Number of sustainable sponsoring and local community building projects has become Peab Life, which is Peab’s new concept for social community projects. The figures will, however, be comparable with previously reported information.
